Oman Data Park opens centre in Duqm

It’s the company’s third centre, following Knowledge Oasis Muscat (KOM) and 1 in Wattayah. In May 2017, ODP signed a Service Level Agreement (SLA) with SEZAD. The organization will retailer financial information, visitors movement, and SEZAD’S financial and industrial plans inside Duqm. The information centre is anticipated to offer a completely safe atmosphere for hosting SEZAD’s ICT solutions, and enhancing operational efficiency with the highest level of safety.

Maqbool al Wahaibi, CEO, ODP, stated that information park gives crucial ICT infrastructure in Oman. “With our rich cloud services we are confident to minimise the total cost of ownership of corporates and absorb operational costs.” The information centre in Duqm will serve strategic industrial location, enabling the business from an ICT operational viewpoint, he added. ODP will also offer backup and recovery solutions to corporates outdoors Duqm, he stated. “The data centre will help in pushing Duqm to be a smart city.” ODP is a joint venture in between Omantel and 4Trust.
