Oman Airports to charge manual baggage handling fee from July 15

Oman Airports to charge manual baggage handling charge from July 15

The charge will be charged to minimise the quantity of baggage carried by travellers and to stay away from these that do not conform to normal size and weight.

The new choice seeks to improve the efficiency of ground handling solutions offered via Oman Airports.

The business pointed out that the charge will cover the further solutions required for handling baggage which scanners could not be capable to study electronically or that do not match to be place on the conveyor belts.

As per international norms, the rule excludes strollers, wheelchairs and particular particular bags such as golf bags.

The business mentioned it is grateful to all passengers who had adhered to its choice on baggage specifications final year. The choice was to regulate the top quality of bags received by the airports of Oman.

In accordance with international regulations, the airport had disallowed ‘non-flat bags’, circular or polygonal shaped luggage.
