Nama Group (NG) concluded Staff Volunteering Competition, part of Wiyakum Programme projects, as part of its continuous commitment to encourage voluntary work and instill a culture of volunteer initiatives in the group’s employees.

Nama Group honours volunteering projects of group’s employees

The closing ceremony of the competitors was held below the patronage of Eng Ali Issa Shamas, CEO of Dhofar Power Company (DPC), a member of Nama Group, in the presence of a quantity of officials from the group in Dhofar governorate.

This competitors is a single of the group’s sustainability policy initiatives, which aims at highlighting the worth of volunteer function amongst workers and encouraging them to construct sustainable improvement projects, as element of their contribution to the nearby communities and National Economy. The project is all about innovating an effective solar powered device to transform the moisture in the air into water for irrigation purposes and confront desertification, apart from generating electrical energy for every day utilizes. Based on the project advantages, the team was invited by the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to participate in a single of its activities, whereas Nama Group will create the project as a sustainable enterprise.

In addition, the Group honoured ‘Al Nour Team’ of Majan Electricity Company (MJEC), a member of Nama Group, for conducting a quantity of voluntary awareness projects, utilising solar power systems. Also, OETC’s ‘Takatuf Team’ was honoured for its welfare initiatives to assist low-incomes households.
