Comprising 50 youths, the team dispatched 4 truckloads of crucial supplies on Saturday evening. In addition, 4 SUVs and a bus complete of volunteers have been sent to the cyclone-hit locations for offering aid and help.
Said Ali al Hakmani, a member of the municipal council and a member of the voluntary team stated, “Our team will be in Dhofar for two days. We want to help people affected by the cyclone and provide all the assistance that we can.” Hakmani stated that the supplies dispatched consist of, meals, water and even street cleaning tools. “We have coordinated work with some NGOs in Dhofar and Al Wusta to provide assistance. We will clean the streets as well.”
Hakmani urged individuals to stand collectively in this hour of want. “This is our homeland and we must stand together in this time of trouble. I wish such campaigns continue till the services in these areas are restored.”
