She also bagged the prize for Mrs Body Beautiful. The competitors witnessed the presence of 32 females from numerous states of India and two from the UAE.
Speaking throughout a press conference at the 101 Parathas restaurant in Muscat on Saturday, Piya mentioned, “The victory is not only for me but for the entire Oman. I owe this victory to all my supporters here including my parents, in-laws for their support and my fashion partner Vama Boutique Oman for the dresses and constant motivation. Last but not the least my husband who has always been a strong pillar of support.”
Describing her challenges, Piya mentioned that she got only 3 days to train beneath professionals in Pune although other contestants had currently been instruction in India.
“I hardly had any training here so I had to check YouTube videos and learn various strategies, questions and other ins and outs of the event. During the training sessions we had to practise walking in high-heeled shoes. We also underwent training in basic etiquettes, dress selection and communication skills. We also had to attend photo sessions. We were taught not just about valuing physical but intellectual beauty,” she mentioned.
Piya mentioned she plans to set up a grooming class in Oman.
