Muscat Krishikkoottam group for farming enthusiasts inaugurated in Oman

The official inauguration was carried out by the senior members Nirmala and Mathew George by cutting a strand of paddy followed by a prayer recited by Abhirami Suresh at Sahwa Park.

It is worth mentioning that the strand of paddy they utilized was cultivated by a member himself, Suresh Babu, who is also the founder of Muscat Krishikkoottam in Muscat.

He had won the award for ‘Outstanding farmer of the expatriate community’ in the year 2017 by Kerala Karshakabhoomi.

The paddy spindle was a new inspiring expertise for the expatriate youngsters present at the occasion. 

Sibi Jacob, who was actively involved in forming the group, had welcomed the
gathering.

Babu addressed the ceremony on the relevant subject, that is, the want for making a generation that would really like soil, trees and their fellow beings and, following all, the want for taking care of mother earth with all its purity.

Around 150 individuals from different components of Oman attended the occasion. Vijayan Nair, agriculture advisor, Babu, Sibi, Anoop M, Siddique Abdulla, Manish, Dr Nafia Salil, Shabeer and Ramakrishnan had been appointed as official committee members of the group.

An iftar celebration was organised by the committee following the inauguration ceremony.
