Muscat Gujarati Samaj (MGS), Gujarati Wing of the Indian Social Club Oman, came up with yet another scintillating event in the form of a unique Golden Grain Cooking Competition, giving a wonderful platform to its members for displaying their widely popular culinary skills.

The occasion witnessed active and enthusiastic participation from MGS members, aptly living up to the reputation of Gujarati ladies possessing outstanding culinary abilities amongst the different other talents.

The occasion also showcased reside demonstrations by renowned cook, Ekta Patel, of two her favourite, lip-smacking dishes. The demonstrations have been televised reside on the screen to allow the audience to take a close view of the intricacies of fine cooking.

Enthusiastic participation was the limelight of the complete occasion. Each participant had place in tremendous creativity and efforts behind conceptualising and executing the preparation of the delectable delicacies of their selection that left the judges and audience in a state of awe, seeking at the presentations of every 1 of them.

Understandably so, the judges who themselves have been stalwarts in the in the field of cooking (Sujata Sheikh, Ami Toprani and Sanjeev Thakur) faced an incredibly daunting job in picking the final winners in all the two categories of the cooking competitors, namely savoury and sweet.

Amidst stiff competitors, in the sweets category, Pankti Ramaiya took the initial prize, followed by Jignyasu Divyes in the second position, Vaidehi Gandhi in the third position and Shivani Sheth in the fourth position. In the savoury category, the initial prize went to Khushboo Joshi, second position to Leena Trivedi, third position to Kajal Shah and fourth position went to Deepa Bhatani. The initial prize winners got a gold coin, followed by higher-worth residence appliance for the remaining winners. Prizes have been provided away by Neeru Toprani, Rajendra Ved and Nilofer Tanna and Sushil Jani.

The occasion was held at the great the Al Bahja Hall close to Jungle Restaurant in Qurm and was witnessed by hardcore cookery enthusiasts as effectively as supportive loved ones members of the participants.
