Ministry of Tourism creating facilities in North Batinah

Hassan bin Sulaiman bin Abdullah al Jabri, director of Tourism Department, in North Batinah stated that the ministry has offered all facilities for investment in the tourism sector by means of the introduction of a quantity of plots according to usufruct needs.

The ministry is studying the require of the marketplace for hotel facilities and other entertainment and tourism activities.

He stated that in close to future two projects will be launched on tourist lands – a 3-star hotel in Al Aqar region in the wilayat of Shinas, in addition to an environmental tourist camp in Al Samaida region in the wilayat of Saham close to Batinah Expressway.

The allocation of a quantity of tourist lands in the concession places is carried out in coordination with government institutions to place them for investment in time.

In the governorate, Jabri stated there are 13 hotels and an equal quantity of hotel apartments. The governorate also has two guest homes and a single green hotel project.

The Department of Tourism in North Batinah problems tourist licences for hotel establishments and travel and tourism offices, and adhere to up the level of service offered by these institutions on a typical basis. It also holds periodic meetings for these institutions that have a tourist licence, which talk about the challenges and issues facing the operation of these facilities. It also notifies them of all developments in addition to issuing e-notifications for the owners of licensed tourism industrial activities close to the finish of the validity of tourist licences to commence renewal procedures.

The Department of Tourism aims to hold workshops from time to time with the aim of introducing the activities and tasks carried out by the ministry by means of different obtainable channels, whether or not by means of the municipal council or awareness lectures in schools.
