Ministry of Manpower holds photography exhibition for students

Muscat – 

The Ministry of Manpower (MoM), represented by the Higher College of Technology, is organising a photography exhibition ‘Trip’ at Bait al Zubair Museum fromJuly eight-12. The exhibition is becoming held below the patronage of H E Dr Muna bint Salim al Jardaniyah, Undersecretary for Technical Education and Vocational Training, MoM.

Thirty-3 students are participating in the photography exhibition. Twelve students are exhibiting 24 solo photographs.

The exhibition is becoming organised by the Department of Photography. About the exhibition, Dr Khalid bin Abdulaziz Ambusaidi, dean, Higher College of Technology, stated, “This exhibition showcases photography skills of our students. It is the only such department among higher education institutions. The exhibition runs from 9am to 6pm.”

Hamama bint Masoud al Kindiya, a lecturer in the Department of Photography at the Higher College of Technology, stated, “We teach different techniques in photography. Some of the key areas are how to use and control light while clicking photographs. We organise field visits, workshops and trips to equip them with necessary skills.”
