The agreement aims at spreading tourism awareness, supporting tourism improvement, encouraging domestic tourism and enhancing communication in between the public and private sectors in tourism fields.
It also appears to activate the domestic tourism movement via cooperation in promotional elements and introduce tourist destinations in the sultanate.
Distribution of publications issued at fixed and short-term tourism details centres and posting messages and tourism promotional films in between the two parties are also in the offing.
As per the agreement, a joint functioning team will be formed to meet routinely to create the essential plans and programmes to study the technical capabilities and specifications necessary by each the parties.
Salim al Mamari, director common of Tourism Promotion at the Ministry of Tourism mentioned, “The promotion of the tourism sector is one of the essential elements of the development of society. Cooperation with private institutions helps to activate tourism awareness, spread tourism culture and educate all social groups.”
Eng Mohammed Salem al Ghafari, director common of Corporate Support, Mwasalat, mentioned, “This cooperation comes within the framework of the development of the partnership relations between the two sides. Mwasalat is constantly seeking to develop the tourism sector in the sultanate by supporting various tourism, cultural and economic events and festivals.”
