ISD kindergarten section holds graduation ceremony

It was a moment of pride and honour not only for the students, but also for the parents, teachers and nicely-wishers. The chief guests for the occasion had been Ashraf Valappil, treasurer, School Management Committee, and Nikhila Anilkumar, head – Academic Subcommittee, for the morning and afternoon shifts, respectively.

Thomas George, convener, School Management Committee, Sebastian Chungath, head, HSE Subcommittee, Shama Shams, head, SEN Subcommittee, and other dignitaries had been also present to witness the grand occasion. Principal Dr Sridevi P Thashnath, vice principal, Primary Section, supervisor, coordinators, teachers and parents joined in the proceedings. KG II students clad in their ceremonial graduation gowns walked down the aisle with pride and happiness. The function commenced with the standard lighting of the lamp. Geeta Chauhan, vice principal, Primary Section, accorded a cordial welcome to the august gathering and blessed the small kids for a vibrant future.

The chief guests blessed and felicitated the students with certificates. Students also had the privilege of getting the certificates from the honourable members of the SMC. Valappil in his address emphasised the significance of kindergarten and how these initial years aid in laying a foundation to shape the character of an person in the initial session. Nikhila, in the second session, stated that a kid learns the fundamental expertise and values like sharing, caring, discipline, classroom guidelines and so on throughout these formative years. She also mentioned that the kid must be permitted to discover and offered the freedom to find out whilst the teachers must only facilitate this procedure and supply a conducive atmosphere for understanding.

George congratulated the students for finishing their kindergarten journey and emphasised that every kid must be motivated by the teachers and parents to adhere to their personal dreams rather than imposing on them the tips and aspirations of the adults.

Dr Sridevi expressed that parenting is an art and parents must assistance their kids with good feedback rather than more than pampering them. She also appreciated the parents for the healthful partnership shared with the college and briefed them about the different activities performed throughout 2017-18 and later felicitated the students with maximum attendance and appreciated the employees.
