At the Tatkar Competition, the participating girls had been place into 5 groups according to their ages. The competitors took spot in a hall decked up with curtains of multicoloured dupattas by enthusiastic mothers. As the complete April moon climbed up the sky, the competitors saw the tatkar beat get a lot more and a lot more vigorous. The dancers seemed to have accomplished a trance-like situation of physique and thoughts as they matched music and movement.
