A total of 93 student companies are participating in this year’s edition of Injaz Oman Student Company competition. During the past six months, student companies from across Oman have operated real businesses, offering students a unique learning experience to engage in entrepreneurship.

Injaz Oman Student Company contest winners to be announced at OCEC right now

Going by means of hard competitors and by displaying creativity and determination, 15 commence-ups had been in a position to make it to the final which will be held below the patronage of H H Sayyid Dr Fahad bin al Julanda al Said, assistant secretary common, Innovation and Development at The Research Council, at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) on Tuesday.

“The Company Programme competitors is in line with the national agenda of advertising innovation and entrepreneurship amongst the Omani youth. We aim to motivate the youth to succeed in the altering job industry by equipping them with perform expertise, understanding and self-confidence.

“We know these skills can transform young people’s futures to ensure the next generations are successful and productive,” stated Khaula al Harthi, executive director of Injaz Oman.

BP Oman, the primary supporter of the Company Programme along with Nama Group, Al Raffd Fund, Boeing Company and Oman International Development and Investment Company (Ominvest) will honour the winning teams.

Ninety-3 organizations will be competing for the primary awards, which consist of ‘BP Oman’s Award for Best Student Company’, ‘Best Sustainable Product’ and ‘Best Innovative Product.’

For the sub-awards, all the participating organizations will be vying to win the newly introduced award, ‘Elevator Pitch’. The organization that delivers the very best sales statement will be honoured with this award.

The competitors enjoys an immense help as nicely from volunteers operating in the private and public sectors supplying mentoring and supplying professional guidance to students.

The winner of the grand prize ‘BP Oman’s Award for Best Student Company’, the most sought-right after award, will represent Oman at the Injaz al Arab’s regional contest of the Middle East and North Africa’s very best student commence-ups in 2018.
