Harvard Kennedy School invites aspiring Omani leaders to apply for Master’s programmes

Scheduled for Tuesday, January 23, the open session will be held at the Grand Hyatt Muscat Hotel, from six.30pm-eight.30pm and will introduce HKS’s studying possibilities that variety from stimulating courses, distinguished faculty, analysis centres and scholarship possibilities such as the Emirates Initiative Fellowship (ELI) to its diverse student physique.

HKS, also identified as the John F Kennedy School of Government, has been component of Harvard University, a single of America’s most prestigious education institutions, for more than 75 years. Its two-year master’s and a single-year mid-profession master’s in public policy and public administration, attract present and future public leaders who are committed to solving the difficulties of their generation. Promoting the programmes, Amani El Sehrawey, Emirates Leadership Initiative programme manager at the Harvard Kennedy School, will shed light on the application method and the scholarships obtainable for each Omanis and Arab citizens.

Amani mentioned, “The master’s programmes at Harvard Kennedy School will inspire and prepare individuals to make a difference in the world by equipping them with the skills they need to improve public policy, pursue powerful ideas and advance their capacity to lead. It is truly the right place to transform the desire to do good in the world into real, life-changing action.”

She added, “We are extremely interested in increasing the number of Omani candidates who apply to HKS, ones who care deeply about making a substantial contribution not only to their community and country but also to the world. Omanis are talented and smart; the question for us is about how we get them to apply to HKS. I am very excited that Yarub al Yarubi, policy adviser at the Think Tank Unit, Diwan of Royal Court, and Luma al Saleh, deputy director at TRACCS, both HKS alumni, will also be available at the information session to share their experiences and personal journey.”
