The Ministry of Health (MoH) is representing the sultanate at the 71st meeting of the World Health Organization’s World Health Assembly (WHA) to be held in Geneva, Switzerland from May 21 to 26.

H E Saeedi leads sultanate’s delegation to WHA meeting

The sultanate’s delegation is becoming headed by H E Dr Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Obaid al Saeedi, Minister of Health.

The meeting will go over the report of the assembly, reports of the principal committees and a quantity of subjects such as the worldwide function on patient security for complete and efficient well being coverage (Amman), the Geneva Health Forum 2018, the World Cancer Congress and the 2020 World Summit of Cancer Leaders hosted by Oman.

An International Diabetes Federation (IDF) seminar on ‘Diabetes, Food Awareness, Care and Early Childhood Development’, as effectively as the discussion of priority strategic concerns, will also be held throughout the assembly.

The meeting will also go over a quantity of progress reports on some well being concerns and a number of administrative, economic and organisational concerns connected to the function of the organisation.

On the sidelines of the meetings of the World Health Assembly, H E Dr Saeedi will preside more than Oman’s delegation at the fifth Technical Consultation Meeting of Arab Ministers of Health and the Meeting of Health Ministers of Non-Aligned nations.

H E will also meet the well being ministers of Brunei Darussalam and Lithuania to go over some concerns connected to cooperation in between Oman and these nations.
