H E Sayyid Mohammed bin Sultan bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of State and Governor of Dhofar met the civil defence sub-committee in the governorate on Wednesday. The meeting was held to stick to up on the preparedness of the sub-committee to face the effect of Tropical Cyclone Mekunu.
The committee confirmed its readiness to deal with all varieties of instances and take all required action to decrease the effect of the cyclone. The committee has urged citizens and residents to cooperate with relevant committees and abide by guidelines.
H E Sheikh Salim bin Ufait al Shanfari, chairman of Dhofar Municipality also met the municipal officials to talk about the civic body’s strategy. He also reviewed the formation of a contingency team to stick to up on the developments in the occasion of a cyclone.
The Municipality of Dhofar has urged the public to get in touch with it via its contact centre on 1771 for all solutions. Meanwhile, Lt Col Mubarak bin Salim al Araimi, director common of operations and coaching in the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulances has also confirmed that all its departments are prepared to deal with any emergency circumstance.
