Glittering opening ceremony of PSC Ramadan Cricket Tournament held

The chairman of PSC, Mian Munir, who was the chief guest, reduce the ribbon with vice chairmen Shabir Ahmed, Zeem (GS) and other PSC directors former vice chairmen A H Raja and former directors were also present at the ground.

PSC sports director and chief organiser of the tournament Kaleem Akhtar thanked the sponsors Bank Muscat, Life Line Hospital, Mohamed Ashraf Trading, Oman UAE Exchange, Al Haseena Jewellers, CCC Contractors and Khimji Ramdas for their help.

Head of the Sports Wing Syed Jameel Zaidi briefed the audience about the 46 teams who are taking component in each segments Tape/MRI and also briefed audience about the history of Ramadan Cricket and its recognition in Oman.  

The opening match was played in between the star studded all-Omani Team OCT Seeb and Asfandyar (MBT) X1, batting very first OCT Seeb created 68 for 5 wickets in eight overs.

Shouab al Balushi created 14 runs and Adnan took two wickets for eight runs.

In response, Asfandayar XI got the score in 5 overs, loosing 3 wickets.

Ghanzanfar had a higher score of 36 runs (6×5) of 14 balls Yousuf al Balushi took two wickets for 17 runs.

The outcome was that Asfandyar X1 (MBT) won by seven wickets. The man of match was Ghazanfar for 36 (6×5) of 14 balls.

In the second match, Real CC thrashed Cheema X1 by ten wickets.

Batting very first, Cheema X1 scored 86/3 wickets in eight overs. Ifrat created 25 runs there was terrific bowling by Afzal, taking a single wicket for only a single run. Real CC effortlessly chased the score in four.four overs with outstanding batting by Ashfaq 54 (6×6) of 18 balls and Afzal 21 run of 14 balls.
