Eng Siham Ahmed al Harthi, director basic, Real Estate Development in the Ministry of Housing stated, “This centre hopes to reduce down on paperwork to make sure a project gets implemented as quickly as feasible.
“Earlier, investors had to approach different government agencies to get approval which delayed the project up to two years. This centre will do the same work in 27 days as it comprises representatives of concerned government agencies to approve the paperwork.”
Eng Siham stated that the actual estate sector has numerous authorities that concern permits at various stages of the building method, beginning from ministries of Housing and Tourism and so on.
More than 15 government and private institutes are involved in some way or the other based on the building goal. Investors have complained that it took them at times up to two years or much more to get approvals to begin a project. So this centre is an answer to all their issues.”
She stated that investors in the actual estate sector are the backbone of the country’s economy.
“So, if any developer wants to start a project he doesn’t have to go to any other ministry, he should just approach the developer centre to get the necessary approvals.”
She stated that the centre coordinates with all other ministries that concern approvals. “If other ministries do not reply inside 27 days with clarifications, the investor can go ahead.
“The centre gives them all details and forms required to be filled. They will have to submit the documents at the centre and wait for exactly 27 days. If the ministry needs anything further we will communicate with them until all approvals are granted.”
She stated that the centre is prepared for any new project. “At present we have representatives from concerned ministries in the centre who follow-up the processing work. We plan to make this an online facility so that we can integrate with all ministries and expedite the process.”
