GECO relaunches TCL items in Oman

The business started its operations in Oman final year, and now it is the official distributor of major house appliances brands such as Indesit Home Appliances (Italy), Westpoint Home Appliances (France), Fratelli Home Appliances (Italy), Glemgas Cookers (Italy), Zamil Air Conditioners (Saudi Arabia), Princess Home Appliances (The Netherlands) and other major brands.

According to Syed Mujahid, company improvement manager, GECO, the business plans to replicate its good results in the UAE, and is targeting to turn out to be the major distributor in Oman.

“Our target for the first year is massive business development approach for air conditioners, washing machines, cookers, refrigerators and small home appliances in the Oman market. We will be supplying products to all leading retailers, hypermarkets and dealer network across the country. Our first year of operations focuses on market share building,” Mujahid told Muscat Daily.

The business in Oman provides sales, marketing and advertising, aftersales solutions and logistics help to clients from its newly opened workplace headquarters at Moosa Abdul Rahman developing in Ruwi.

“GECO hopes to make TCL brand well known in Oman like the way it is in other countries. We will focus more on product availability as well as professional aftersales customer support, which are crucial for the success of any company,” Mujahid stated.

Henry Yang, common manager, TCL Air Conditioners Middle East stated TCL line-up will contain window and split ACs each Rotary &amp Piston kind (18,000 to 36,000 BTU), and Floor Standing ACs (24,000 to 60,000 BTU). “TCL ACs are equipped with the latest technology and features such as Gold Fin, Hidden LED Display, Multi Layer Filter and Long Distance Air Throw,” he stated.

Tanvir Hassnain, common manager, GECO, stated, “We now have a strong product portfolio including a comprehensive home appliances range which makes us confident that GECO will be able to expand market share in Oman and move closer to our vision to be the leading home appliances distributor.”
