The latest figures from the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI) show that the number of expatriates in Oman has decreased by over 97,000.

Expat population in Oman falls by more than 97,000 in two months

The sultanate’s population was four,584,591 on July 10, which integrated two,581,390 Omanis and two,003,201 expats. The population (as of June 30) stood at four,592,759, an boost of 1,819,280 (65 per cent) more than 2010 census when it was two,773,479. It jumped more than by two,251,944 (96 per cent) because 2003 census when population was at two,340,815. Oman’s total population as of finish-April was four,670,899 – two,569,994 Omanis and two,100,905 expats.

According to NCSI, the general population of the sultanate has come down by 86,308 in a tiny more than two months (May 1 to July 10), whilst the expat population in the exact same period fell by 97,704.

World Population Day marked World Population Day, a United Nations initiative, is marked each year on July 11 to raise awareness about the increasing planet population. This year focuses on Family Planning to mark 50 years because loved ones organizing won recognition as a human proper.

Today, the world’s population totals 7.6bn individuals and is anticipated to develop to practically 10bn by the middle of this century.
