The Academic Council for the colleges of applied sciences held its extraordinary meeting this year under the chairmanship of H E Dr Abdullah bin Mohammad al Sarmi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Higher Education and vice president of the council.

The Academic Council for the colleges of applied sciences held its extraordinary meeting this year beneath the chairmanship of H E Dr Abdullah bin Mohammad al Sarmi, Undersecretary in the Ministry of Higher Education and vice president of the council.

During the meeting, the outcomes of the project for overall performance indicators for the colleges of applied sciences for the years 2014-15 and 2015-16 had been announced. The meeting incorporated a visual presentation on the methodology of the project and the indicators and mechanism employed in the audit.

The College of Education in Rustaq won the very first spot at the level of the six colleges to implement the project in 2014-15. The College of Applied Sciences in Salalah won the very first spot to implement the project in 2015-16.

During the meeting, the Academic Council adopted the nominations of deans’ assistants and heads of the academic departments of colleges of applied sciences, although the faculties of the sophisticated centres in the project had been honoured, in addition to honouring Dr Zuhair al Humiri, supervisor of the Performance Indicators Project.
