80 kids participate in IT summer time instruction in Muscat, Salalah

Muscat – 

The third edition of the instruction programme (IT Kids Innovation Theatre), kicked off in Muscat and Salalah with the participation of 80 kids. The summer time IT instruction programme is organised by The Information Technology Authority (ITA), in cooperation with Middle East College, Oman LNG and other private organisations such as Innotech, Engineering for Kids and Cisco.

This programme aims at creating kids’ understanding and skills in IT, encouraging them to utilise their IT understanding and imagination to create inventive solutions and items, and qualifying and empowering them to be IT entrepreneurs in the future. The programme targets youngsters in between 9-12 years old who are familiar with some fundamental abilities in IT such as making use of pc, operating programmes and some fundamental applications.

This year, the programme focuses on two principal locations: Programming and Robotics. The programme consists of a set of activities such as workshops, project preparing, preparation and implementation and individual abilities enhancement. The programme is an chance for the youngsters to devote their totally free time in the course of summer time holiday. It also contributes to advertising the talent of kids in technologies and raising their understanding in IT. The programme will be held in the Middle East College, Muscat, till August 16 it will be held in Salalah at Public Authority for Civil Aviation till August 9.
